Enhanced Kia Sportage to make waves in mid-range Sport Utility Vehicle segment

Kuala Lumpur, 3rd July, 2007 – Naza Kia Sdn Bhd today reintroduced the trend-setting Kia Sportage today at their 3S Showroom in Puchong.

Unveiled by Naza Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama SM Nasimuddin SM Amin, this is the latest addition to Naza Kia’s extensive model line up.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama SM Nasimuddin SM Amin, said, “the updated 2.0 litre Kia Sportage is the result of a Malaysian and Korean collaboration, targeting the trendy upmarket and the business executive markets in Malaysia.”

He added that the new Sportage mirrors Naza Kia’s strategic business direction to grow in the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) market.

“Currently, the Kia Sportage is easily one of the more competitive SUV brands in Malaysia with its user-friendly features, durability and performance.

The enhanced model you see here has been tweaked to suit current style trends, taking into account customer feedback since we launched the Sportage in 2005.

We expect to sell a modest 200 units of Kia Sportage per month.”

As a result of market surveys and customer feedback, the Sportage has been tweaked to enhance its appeal.
