NAZA KIA MALAYSIA TO LAUNCH THE ALL-NEW OPTIMA K5
Kuala Lumpur, Dec 14 – Naza Kia Malaysia, the official distributor of Kia Motors vehicles in Malaysia, will launch the highly-anticipated and internationally acclaimed, All-New Optima K5 on Dec 27.
The sleek All-New Optima K5 is set to make waves in the D-segment of the market with its head-turning design, exhilarating drive, premium amenities and high safety specification.
Labelled as one of the most stunningly designed vehicles in Kia Motors' current model line-up, the all-new Optima, which was named 'Best of the Best' at the 2011 Red Dot Design Award, features a refined, performance-oriented style with a sleek silhouette and an aggressive stance.
The launch of the All-New Optima K5 is set to top off a strong year for Naza Kia Malaysia. As of Nov 30, 2011, Naza Kia Malaysia's sales have grown 11% to 10,228 units, outperforming the overall market.

“In 2011, we have focused on building the foundation for the Kia Motors brand in Malaysia. We have strengthened our model line-up, embarked on new marketing initiatives and rationalised our network to 60 outlets.
“With the All-New Optima K5, we will be able to take the Kia Motors brand to new heights in 2012. The All-New Optima K5 has won many awards internationally and we are confident it will be a hit in Malaysia as well,” said Datuk Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar, COO of Naza Kia Malaysia.
The All-New Optima K5 is the fourth model to be introduced by Naza Kia Malaysia this year following the launch of the All-New Sportage, Forte 6-Speed and Forte Koup.
The All-New Optima K5 has been one of Kia Motors best-selling vehicles in the United States this year accounting for 17% of the Korean carmaker's sales in the market with a total of 73,886 units sold as of Nov 30, 2011.
It features Kia Motors' fuel efficient Theta II 2.0 engine which produces 165 PS and 198 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Among the premium features included are its auto-levelling HID xenon headlamps, LED daytime running headlights, dual-zone auto air-conditioner, a plush leather interior, a panoramic sun roof, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, auto cruise control, 18-inch alloy wheels, six-airbags and an electronic stability programme.
The All-New Optima K5's low ground clearance, front bumper lip and wheel deflectors that are aligned with its sleek profile enhances the sedan's aerodynamics.
Among the awards won by the All-New Optima K5 so far include the internationally-renown iF Product Design Award 2011, Best of 2011 from US-based Cars.com, Design Award 2011 at the Australian International Design Award, Top Safety Pick by the US-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and 2012 Mid-Size Car of the Year by Canada's Auto123.com.
Naza Kia Malaysia will launch the all-new Optima K5 at its first ever Kia Red Cube in Malaysia which is located in Petaling Jaya alongside the Federal Highway.
The outlet, with a built-up size of 24,350 square feet, will be Naza Kia Malaysia's flagship showroom in the Klang Valley and will incorporate Kia Motors' new Global Space Identity.
The Kia Red Cube will be a 3S (Sales, Spare parts, Service) facility that will feature a modern and stylish design that seeks to give customers a greater experience when purchasing a Kia or sending their existing Kias for service.
