During one of the prestigious motoring events in the Philippines, The 2008 Car of the Year Awards, the Kia Carens (Rondo) won Car of the Year in the Compact Van & MPV category. This marked a second win for the Carens in its prize category. The Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI) conducted tests and evaluations of 86 Japanese, European, American, Korean and Chinese vehicles over four test weekends in a controlled environment.
