Kia Motors Corp.'s crossover utility vehicle, Soul, was named the Safest Cars of 2009 by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. The Soul scored five stars in all collision tests for frontal, side-on and offset collision tests, and four stars in seat safety in the ministry's new car assessment program in order to be named the safest vehicle.
