The 2011 Kia Sportage was awarded “best utility vehicle for 2011” by Le Guide de l’auto 2011. This prestigious award is only one of two awards given out on an annual basis. The other award was for “Car of the Year” which was given to Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS 6.3. The Sportage beat out stiff competition from the likes of Ford Edge, Ford Explorer, Honda Odyssey, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Porsche Cayenne, Toyota Sienna and Toyota 4Runner.
