Kuala Lumpur, Nov 25, 2011 – The highly acclaimed Forte 6-Speed was awarded Family Car of the Year at the NST-Maybank Car of the Year (COTY) 2011.
“The Forte 6-Speed has very-well accepted in the Malaysian market since its launch in March this year. The Forte 6-Speed is a class above its competitors and we are pleased to accept this award,” said SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of the Naza Group of Companies.
The Forte 6-Speed is an enhancement to the popular sedan which was first introduced to the Malaysian market in November 2009.
It now features several new premium features such as a six-speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic functionality as well as steering mounted paddle shifters. It also now comes with a rear-view camera, LED-turn signals on the side mirrors which are now electrically foldable and Bluetooth functionality.
The Forte 6-Speed is available in two 1.6L variants and a 2.0L variant. The on-the-road (OTR) price of the 1.6EX variant is at RM78,800 while the OTR prices for the 1.6SX and 2.0SX are at RM85,800 and 97,800 respectively.
Since its introduction in November 2009, the Forte has won several local awards such as the People’s Car Award at the NST-Maybank COTY 2010 and Debut Model of the Year at the 2011 Frost & Sullivan Malaysian Excellence Awards.
The Forte has been Naza Kia Malaysia’s best-seller this year with 4,783 units sold in the first 10 months of the year.
